Luna Baglioni :
The five star Luna Baglioni is one of the oldest and most historical hotels in Venice; it can trace its history back to the Knights Templar in the 12th century. This luxury establishment; with its fine frescoes; occupies a prestigious position overlooking the San Marco Basin and the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Venice is a truly unique city full of charm and romance and with a wealth of famous sights and attractions. The life of the city revolves around the many canals; the most famous of which is the Grand Canal and not surprisingly the city is home to over 400 bridges. Visitors can take a trip on a Gondola or a sightseeing trip on a water bus. St Mark's Square and the Basilica top the list of places to see. The square for its fine architecture and carnival atmosphere and the Basilica for its magnificent golden treasures. The Palazzo Ducale; once home to the doge is now a fine museum displaying work by Titian and Tintoretto. Still on the art trail; the Gallerie dell'Accademia houses Venice's most important art collection; with work on display from the 14th to 18th centuries....
