The Carimar Beach was selected mainly because we booked so late, and because the recommended spot was filled for the entire 10 day trip we had planned. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by what we got for our money. Situated on Meads Bay, (Recognized as the second best beach on the island by locals, behine Shoal Bay). I would probably have to agree, but second place is not too bad considering it has 33 of the best beaches in the world! The 3 bedroom condo was very welcoming, and was outfitted with a full kitchen included silver & flat ware. They even had a complimentry bottle of Rum. (if you drink on holiday) A full Living room complete with couches, sitting chairs, coffee table and ceiling fans which we never turned off during our stay. The bed was a king size and it was very comfortable, so much so, I asked where I can buy one! The room's balcony (RM304) looked over a very nicely kept garden with queen palms, sea grapes and assorted vegetation. Just beyond the the courtyard, is the sun-bleached coral sand of Meads Bay. Carimar staff made certain that every morning the lounge chairs and umbrellas were positoned for ultimate sun worshipping and that the beach towels were never low. The staff of Carimar was the best service, bar none, in all of my world travel. Although the location does not have a restaurant, there is Bristo's next door, that serves breakfast lunch & tea. Or for the more adventurous folks, there is B&D's BBQ stand, just around the bend towards Long Bay. The tennis courts and club house were very well kept but never set foot on it due to the inviting beach.
