The Jolly Beach resort is amazing with a fantasic beach, beautiful aqua sea and loads of fun. The only thing I did not like was the spider that was as big as my dinner plate I saw after a rain storm but that's the only time I saw one.

We went to Antigua for the first time last year and when we arrived at the Jolly Beach resort we didn't know what to expect. All I can say is we loved it from the minute we got there. Yes the resort is a bit run down but who really notices when you're enjoying yourselves. The staff work really hard to make your stay a enjoyable one. I've made some really good friends, Ann-marie (who I still text twice a month), Maria, Theo, Ivan, Charlie (who my partner just loves being around), Janice, Robin, Lionel and of course our Terry, we just love Terry. Also Cornell and his girlfriend who work on the beach by the Coconut Grill, they really looked after us. We had a standard room on the top floor of the Grenada block so the view from our balcony was breath-taking. The beach and aqua blue sea is amazing. All the food as lovely too. Just go and relax and enjoy yourselves and make up your own minds, I did and just can't wait to go back.

Antigua is beautiful, I really enjoyed my stay there, the worst part of my holiday was the return journey the airport is hell on earth staff, not interested giving out any information. Thank God for one male employee at the airport who was really helpful and sympathetic, he really tried to help everyone, having said that I will not return. I do not think my heart would stand that...
