Excellent views from our room at Breakfree Beachcomber. We stayed in 3101 and 3102 top floor ocean views- unreal, But the tennis court had beer bottle glass scattered all over it each day we would report it to staff to no satisfaction, scary leaving your car in the Carpark, as there's one car in there that has dust 2 inches thick on it and its wheels have gone walk about.

The Breakfree Beachcomber was like stepping back to the 70s. Furnishing/ carpets etc was old and dirty- loungers had small holes all over. The ceiling to the main bedroom was very dusty (dust was hanging off the ceiling). The kitchen incl the coil stove was very old. The smell was unbearable when you walked into the room. Lucky for the pine o'clean I ended up disinfecting the room before my toddler touched anything. Not an ideal place for kids. The views would have been a lot nicer had the windows and sliding doors been cleaned. The car park is not well maintained but then again neither is the whole place. We ended up paying for 2 nights elsewhere and will never return there again. I have stayed at many other hotels/apartments in the Gold Coast and have never experienced anything like this it was a nightmare. By the way it's only a 3 star not 4 as advertised. I confirmed this with the hotel reception upon checking out.
