The Alstadhotel Amadeus 9everything in Salzburg is Mozart branded!!) is very central and very close to a number of attractions in the city. The rooms were basic but clean, though a complaint is that it is quite noisy because the walls arent thick and we had a snorer next door!! Very close to a number of restaurants and bars etc hich is very convenient. Food selection at breakfast was very good. Be warned, you are next to a church and the bells do ring in the morning. I reckon this is good value for money and as long as you arent expecting 5 star, then you cant be disappointed.
