The Perla Hotel is located at the back of the Golden Sands resort and up a hill. It is about a 15 minute walk down to the beach but longer coming back. The rooms are excellent and the swimming pool is average but you have to pay for sunbeds even if your are a guest. A large percentage of the clientèle are either large school parties or German 18-30 clubs which means it can be noisy. The food is very poor and dishes are often not replenished.
A good welcome - Rhonda. Date of travel: Jul 2005
Hotel Perla is just ten minutes walk to Bar Street: plenty to do at nite and it is a lovely walk to the prom. The prom goes on and we never had any bother with people trying to get you in to the bars. It was only a short from our hotel to the water park and if you go after 4pm it is half price so you have 3 hours before it closes which is plenty. Also Varna there is plenty of pick pockets so do watch out, but the markets are brill so do bargain with them. It is good fun and it gets better when you go to walk away so all in all would say go for a good holiday in Bulgaria. Cheap and they really do make you feel welcome there. Oh go to Mama Mia's, great steak and great nites. Tour Operator: Balkan Tours

Hotel Perla great could not fault it your room was clean every day and clean towels the bed sheets were made into a fan shape and the towels were made into swans or animal shapes. Pool bar and lobby bar also very clean adn the food was also good not a big choice but you sould get enough. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and the beauty palour in it was also good for the money. We enjoyed it that much last year that we have booked it again for 2006. Only one thing at fault no kids club and the entertainment was crap but that does not spoil your holiday, you make your own fun no matter were you are. But since there is 20 of us going this year it will not matter to us so if you go there and you see 15 people from Northern Ireland and 5 people from Scotland having a good old laugh come over and say hi and join in the fun.
