The Izgrez hotel in Golden Sands was clean, the rooms were cleaned daily (even if you put the do not disturb sign on). The maids are there from 8 until 4 and you can request a specific time. I ordered room service a few times for cups of tea which cost 2 lev (about 75p) but no matter what you paid it with in most cases 10 lev you didnt get your change so this can become a bit expensive. When we arrived at the hotel we didnt have anything less than 50 lev for the bus boys so we told them we would settle up later, and at that he rolled his eyes and called us something in Bulgarian, but when we gave him his tip he started to open the doors of the hotel and smile a lot! The taxis outside the hotel are contracted to the specific hotel and you should only travel in them. They don't cost you more and will come back for you at your given time. This is the safest option of travel as the buses are a haven for gypsies who are pickpockets (and no I'm not discriminating against them, you will be warned on your welcome meeting). But its not just young girls, its also men and older women just be on your guard when you travel outside your resort! Tour Operator: First Choice

I stayed in the Iberostar, Izgrev where it is well worth the money. You have free activities everyday for example, shooting, darts, waterpolo, beach volleyball, bingo, etc. It is for adults and children. They also have entertainment every night in the animation room. I would advise you to stay away from the hotel Sirena, as a large amount of people were ill there this year and last. The Hotel Admiral was built new for the summer 2004, and is well located within the resort. Near the harbour the night life is quiet, so a hotel in the middle of the resort is highly recommended although there is a regular mini train that takes you to the centre of the resort. The hotel Marina Grand is definitely worth the money, but remember no matter how many star ratings the hotel is, the food doesn't get served any hotter. Also for any hotel a sea view is not really that brilliant, many people get views of trees and in the afternoon the sun will not be shining on your balcony. Believe it is best to have a view of the car park! Tour Operator: Thomas Cook
