Hotel Sunrise, a very nice place. The English are never happy, they always have something to complain about. Would definitely go back. Bulgarians love the Irish!! Ahahhaha!

Hotel Sunrise was just on the edge of the beach strip, which I found quite nice as I never got tired of walking through all the market stalls. We were in Bulgaria for 2 weeks in July. Right outside the hotel there is a shuttle bus to the Aquapark which was a great day out! I would advise this hotel to families mainly as it is small and quite quiet. The barmen were great!! Always talking and happy. Great with the kids and always in the pool! The room was nice basic but had a brilliant shower room! Birds were a bit of a problem. Did seem to be everywhere, pooed on the balcony quite often although didn't particularly annoy me. Cleaners came everyday and were very friendly. There is a busy main road outside the hotel although if you have kids there is a huge gate that can be closed. Shops next door which was handy. I never tried the food as we were b&b and never up in time :)! Reception staff were alright same lady most days who was a sour bake... but friendly, made me laugh. The food in Bulgaria was great I never had one problem. All the Bulgarians we met were fantastic and so interested in what we had to say. Wasn't many British. We are from N.Ireland and only met a couple of English and Scots. Beaches and streets very clean. Bars were great. Lots to do for kids Horse rides on the beaches mini fair grounds and *MILLIONS* of stalls you could shop all day my boyfriend was in paradise! Tons of t-shirts, sunglasses and your usual junk. Not as much for women though. Of course it was all rip off makes but looks really well and washes too! I would advise anyone to go to Bulgaria even to this hotel. It wasn't extremely busy nor were all the sunbeds taken. I enjoyed it! 10/10!!

This hotel has always been great in the past but changed hands last year. Very understaffed, pool bar never open. Entertainment is only for 2 hours once a week. We were all asked to go to our rooms by 10.30pm and were not allowed to sit outside talking to other families.
There is a very busy road in front of the hotel which is a nightmare to cross. Beware if you have young children with you. Rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was never cleaned in the 2 weeks we were there and was freezing cold in July. I would never return to this hotel.

This hotel is the pitts!!! there is lots of birds nests in the balconies. when u get up the place is splattered with poo. the pool is not very clean either.nobody seemed 2 clean it. I complained several times but fell on deaf ears. the poolbar staff ripped u off, kept changing prices. the food was ok in the morning but at nite it was a disgrace, if they had ran out u got nothing. i got food poisoning. the rooms itself were quite nice and kept very clean. there's also a load of building work going on all the dust goes everywhere. god help u if it rains -our shoes and clothes got covered with mud. the road outside the hotel is very dangerous. i would never return to the Hotel Sunrise.
