Good Traditional Hotel in the Hutong - James Allen. Date of travel: Sep 2007

Excellent traditional style courtyard hotel within the Banchang Hutong. Rooms vary in size and reasonably priced (for Beijing), beds are quite hard but not too bad. We had a problem when very loud roadworks started up outside our bedroom window at 1 o'clock in the mornings most mornings, but the staff moved us to a quieter room without fuss.
