What a magnificent location! The view and site of the Palace Hotel is really more than five-star, but unfortunately we found that often the facilities did not match up. The pool is lovely and there is an indoor pool at the health spa, but there wasn’t too much for the kids to do, as advertised. There was do daily entertainment and the kiddies room was run down and unsupervised. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts but found the bars and restaurants at the hotel really expensive, opting more often than not for something from the local shops. There isn’t a beach but a jetty’s out to the sea. I recommend snorkelling. I think the Palace Hotel is overpriced, it should either be jacked up a little or drop its prices to accommodate for its shortcomings.
