Sunbeds that you pre-book for your whole stay (very good system) are nicely placed around in the garden, leaving enough space for privacy. The pool restaurant offers lovely lunches and drinks all day long. In the evening you can enjoy your dinner in the romantic Symposion Restaurang with a stunning sea view. The quality of the cuisine is excellent and the professional staff make sure that you are having a pleasant evening. After dinner you can enjoy the live entertainment together with a drink in the Amethystos Bar, or just relax on the veranda under the stars with a nice cocktail made by the skillful barmen. All the hotel staff is extremely friendly and service-minded. There is no limit to what they can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The guest's wishes are always top priority for the staff. All service is done with a warm heart and a friendly smile. Whilst the hotel is not up to UK five star accommodation, the quality of this hotel, its staff and position make this one of the best hotels to stay in. Those who stay on B&B missed out on some wonderful meals and the friendly waiters and waitresses. Food is of a good standard, much better than anything you might expect in the Med. The facilities are 5 star, a good gym, beauty salon and even a small shop add to the usual facilities of a pool and games room. As a family with 2 teenage children there wasn't a huge amount for them to do other than relax and make friends. There were the usual beach water facilities, pedalos, paragliding, etc in the Grecian Sands Bay, 1 minute walk away that we used on several occasions. The gardens are well laid out and sun beds were reserved for you for the entire stay so there was no fighting over them in the mornings once you had picked your spot. The rooms do need a little updating but we went on holiday to enjoy the facilities and not stay in the rooms. All rooms had aircon which was a must in 40 degree heat. Overall this is probably the best hotel we have stayed in for summer sun and we will be going again.

The Alion Beach hotel is generally a good hotel that caters for older British people mainly. Rooms are comfortable but basic. Only complaint with my room was noisy airconditioner, but I guess that was better than none at all. Nice and close to the beach, which is beautiful. Plenty of sunbeds and the pool was always sparkling. Found the food good and enjoyed the theme nights.
