We have recently returned from a holiday at the Aeneas in Ayia Napa. First impressions of the hotel on arrival were great. There is a fabulous pool and lovely gardens with trees and little bridges. The pool is huge with of shallow ends which are perfect for children. The bedrooms are okay but nothing special bearing in mind the Aeneas pretends to be five star! The maid service was good with towels changed daily and beds made up. My only complaint at the hotel was the food, which was awful, mostly buffet and very repetitive. There was entertainment most nights which was quite good, though we generally went out as the drinks in the Aeneas hotel were very expensive, twice what you pay anywhere else in Ayia Napa. The location of the Aeneas hotel was excellent - just a few minutes walk from Nissi Beach which is gorgeous, soft sand and clear waters which are perfect for children. The beach is within a small lagoon so the water is only a few feet deep and there are no waves so the water is always calm. The Aeneas Hotel is only a twenty minute walk from Ayia Napa square where there are no shortage of pubs and restaurants. Chihuahua Mexican restaurant was a favourite of ours. We will definitely return to Ayia Napa and although it is expensive we will probably stay at the Aeneas.
