I have been to Cynthiana Beach Hotel before and it is a lovely all round hotel, the staff are friendly and eager to please, decoration is a bit dated but whisper is that they are closing for a couple of months to put it right, if so it will be a great holiday location again.

We have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. It's probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in with amazing attention to detail. This certainly is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The accomodation was perfect: beautiful room, beautiful view, truely wonderful staff. However, (this may be an advantage for some people), the hotel is not close to the city centre (if you want to shop or eat out), so you have to take a cab, or tha local bus (cheap option) or rent a car. Our days were generally spent soaking up the sunshine and reading our books on the extremely comfortable sun-loungers. It was very difficult to concentrate on reading as it was so tempting to just look up and stare at the breath-taking views. The best part of the day was definitely sitting outside by the beach bar with a chilled beer while watching the sunset. Paradise. If I was to return to Cyprus - no doubt I would stay here at the Cynthiana. My wife and I had the most wonderful, relaxing, fantastic 7 days there! Highly Recommended!! John & Pam

Cynthiana Beach Hotel was a lovely hotel - but what a shame about the catering! We were allocated this hotel on arrival in Paphos - and of the 3 on offer - this was initially the one we wanted the least! However, once we had sorted out a change of room with the assistance of the very helpful receptionist - we had a fantastic fortnight! Once we had got away from the grotty carpark view room intially allocated (incidentally the only rooms in the whole hotel which don't allow a view of some sort are 601 -610) with all the noisy drunks rolling home past the balcony in the wee small hours. We loved the whole place. The bedrooms are a wee bit dated (but new curtains and bedcovers could sort that out!) but the public areas are VERY luxurious and newly done. Everywhere is however spotlessly clean, and the maids always willing to change/ give extra towels when asked. However the dining room should be avoided at all costs! Food is bland boring and completely processed! No fresh citrus fruit on an island where orchards are clearly showing perfect fruit which was for sale on every roadside stall. The hotel offered tinned peaches and concentrate orange juice..... We only had to endure the breakfasts (same offering on all 14 days!), but made the mistake of eating in on one evening - it was chinese night and the only edible item on the menu was the prawn crackers! I was also charged the best part of 10CYP for a glass of mediocre and tepid house white wine and a diet coke. You are not allowed to bring drinks into the dining room from the bar, nor can you take away an unfinished bottle of wine to consume at leisure "in the interests of honesty"!!!! (whose honesty I wonder?) Can heartly recommend the 3 restaurants nearby for eating out - especially Holly's, but the 2 tavernas are good value for money. Great hotel - but don't eat there!

We spent another fantastic holiday at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. What to say more about this hotel... fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. The views of the sea are amazing, the hotel is so peaceful and has many facilities, spacious pools, poolside bars. And the staff... lovely, friendly, professional and extremely helpful as always (look for Irene). The rooms are always clean and the food is always great. We keep returning to this lovely hotel year by year. We would recommend this wonderful hotel for a memorable holiday.
