I Hated The Apartment! - Rick & Chelsea. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Leda Gardens, the first sight you see is bushes covering the apartment and there are no balconies. The kitchen is small and not cleaned very well, in the apartment we stayed in, there was a piece of toast down by the sde of the cooker and for the 2 weeks we were there it hadn't been moved. The bedrooms are fairl sized and the beds are not comfy (not for me anyway). The Bathroom is very small and stinks of wee (they say it's the cleaning product). The maids are very good and friendly. All the staff are nice apart from the man behind the bar (not being offensive) but needs to talk and make a conversation. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good holiday! It's terrible, they should have aircon!! We will be having words with Olympic.

Stayed at Leda Gardens in Paphos which was one of the worst moves we could have done. The staff were rude (especially that pud Amin - he was lucky to not get bottled) and they tried charging us a fiver for a cracker out of some bag of food we didn't want! No air con - meaning our rooms smelt of sex and bum for 2 weeks and they charge for fans. Disgrace. the place needs a bulldozer. There were ants up the wall, in the shower, in the beds, in my hair, in my face. EVERYWHERE! Leda Gardens is nothing more than a shanty town.

Paphos is a lovely place but I didn't enjoy my holiday as much as I should have because I stayed at Leda Gardens. Yes it is cheap but not even worth the money. The place is on a main road so very noisy and when we asked to move we were put into a dirty and smelly apartment at the back that clearly no-one had stayed in for a long time. Sheets and towels were not changed either. At least the beach is only 10 minutes walk away and Paphos is full of great restuarants but do yourself a favour, pay a bit more and get some decent accommodation.

The staff at Leda Gardens were very friendly,got to be brutally honest and say the place is a DUMP....I think it is totally unacceptable that a travel company like Olympic are allowed to use places like this, the rooms were in a need of "makeover", the balcony which had wooden hand rails were rotten,the beds must have been taken from the local prison, we found it very odd that on the Leda Gardens site were people who use the apartments as full time residence, this gain giving the complex a "run down" feel. I will be writing to Olympic Holidays and suggest they review this place....You have been warned, after speaking to families who also stayed there they also agreed that the place was a disgrace and should be removed from the brochure. Another thing was the very poor lighting which I felt was an accident waiting to happen.

The Harbour area of Paphos is a wonderful place to eat, there are many restaurants serving most dishes and they have a good price range from reasonable to the more expensive, oh and there is even a McDonalds!!! The waterpark is a great day out for families, get there for around 10am as the place fills up quite quickly. The best beach we found was called Coral Bay, shallow and clear water which is ideal for youngsters.
