The scenery was lovely. Found nice little bit beach ,although shingle and rocky and you need to tread carefully. The food was good -breakfast excellent although lunch time got a bit monotonous. Evening choice very good. The service from the restaurant was very good but if you want burgers or pizza from pool side bar it's definitely not fast food. Waited far too long also found some of the staff right miserable serving drinks and too slow. Don't plan on getting too merry! Would be better if more staff around. If you want to go from the hotel not any where to stroll but you can get a taxi 10-12 euros into Paphos harbour. Same entertainment every night for children (mini disco) could be more family shows. Other entertainment fair although did see Roy Harper of 'Britain's got talent' one night during 2 weeks stay and he was excellent. Stayed first 2 weeks of July (2008).

We stayed in the five star St George hotel. It is situated on the beach about ten minutes drive from the harbour near a little village called Chlorakas. Set in its own grounds it has its own church for those of you wanting to get married there. The staff are brilliant, they are so friendly. There is so much to do in this hotel for grown ups as well as the children. Kids have their own clubs and the animation team come around and take them to play games, even put on talent shows for you. The hotel has two pools with bars, also a bar on the beach as they have beach parties and barbecues. The food is lovely: there is so much to choose from. You can sit out on the large terrace and watch the sunset while eating you evening meal. And of a day time while lounging by the pool you can have pizza and your drinks brought to you by the friendly waitresess. You do not have to lift a finger if you don't want to. The hotel lives up to its five star rating. Just out side the hotel to the right is a family run supermarket. Christina and Andreas have tables outside with umberellas so you can have a rest while your partner does some shopping, then if you feel like a drink they will gladly get you one, from soft drinks to shorts. We spent many evenings with them before going into town: they became very good friends to us. If you ask they will tell you anything you need to know: where the best place to change your currency, were to eat out, the best place to hire a car from... they truly are wonderful people.
