We have been to the Gran Ventana on Playa Dorada 18 times and are due to go twice this year. It has its own stretch of beach where tropical abound. Take in some bread or a banana, stand knee deep in the water and the fish will feed out of your hand.
The hotel is excellent with 4 restaurants, one being the main buffet restaurant. There is a range of food to suit all tastes. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Watch out for Papa Lewis on the pool bar, he will feed you drinks until you say no more. This hotel is a must to visit and you will return time and time again.
