Well, the Moderne St Germain was a fairly nice hotel. Everything was clean, the food was good and all that. Only thing bad was there were no elevators, so you carry all you luggage up to the 3rd/4th floor. And the group I was with (teenagers, few adults) got yelled at a lot by the manager. Noise of any sort isn't tolerated.

I've been to the Moderne St. Germain twice and I'll go back again. It's ideally located on a street near St. Germain and St. Michel without all the noise of those two streets. The Cluny Museum (Lady and the Unicorn tapestries) is a block away and Notre Dame is a short walk from there. The brasserie Balzar is a wonderful place to eat and is just down the street. The rooms are small but very clean. The showers are mounted high with a shower curtain. There is a lovely breakfast room with an extensive spread. The manager is very friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to facilitate rides to the airport. I'd stay there for the location alone. This hotel is terrific. Tour Operator: My travel
