The Corinthia Atlantic Banjul Hotel is by no means a 4*, the service is very lacking and slow. The main thing the staff are bothered about is hitting on you for what they can get e.g your email address or shirt, or if you have anything they can have when you leave. You can wait ages for a drink which is not cheap (over £2 a pint) food is also on the expensive side - a snack for two at lunch with soft drink £20. The kiddies pool has all loose mosaic tiles which are sharp. If bed and breakfast there are only two nearby restaurants.

The Corinthia Atlantic is a very well run, recently refurbished Hotel, right on the beach, easy walk to city centre of Banjul, opposite the Presidents House. the rooms all seem to have a small balcony, over looking the beach, pool or bird gardens with air conditioning. Cleaned every day, the food is a mixture of local fish with rice or familiar English food cooked Gambian style, all buffet help yourself, with a once a week barbeque. The staff mostly speak english and are all very efficient and keen to help. Tour Operator: Thomson
