As our hotel was overbooked when we arrived, we met a girl by accident in a café at Rosenthaler Platz. She and her friend are running seven apartments in Berlin Mitte. One was available and so we went for it - Hotel Feelslikehome! What a luck! Cosy apartment in a residential building, wooden floor(!), high ceilings(!) modernly furnished. We felt home at once. The apartment (2 room) is located in Max-Beer-street, quiet living, but the shops and bars are right in front of the door. The girls are living in the area as well and updated us about their own favourite places to go. We felt like real Berliners. See their apartments on the website (search online). Highly recommend!
