The Economy Hotel is good value for money, although it’s a bit shabby round the edges it’s clean and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel was in an area that was quite ghetto but we didn’t mind that, it showed us another side to Athens and it was quite noisy but this can be expected in a big city, especially one as popular as Athens. The lodging was on a bed and breakfast basis, which was really nice. Good coffee and you can have more than one helping if you wish. There was also Internet, which was useful for us as we’d come from Italy and hadn’t contacted home for a while so could send out a few emails. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a base in Athens, not a luxurious hotel experience.
