I visited Metropolitan Hotel last September with my boyfriend and we really liked the hotel and the service. We were told in advance by our travel agency Travel Zone that it wasn’t a central hotel although it was really close to the center and it also had a bus stop a few meters from the hotel. In addition, the hotel had a free shuttle bus for the guests several times a day leading to the center of Athens and back so no problem there. I really liked our room because the bed was large and really comfortable and it also had a small living room, large windows and a big bathroom with a kit full of shower gels and shampoos which smelled great. Everything was quiet so this was exactly what we wanted when we were returning late at night after a long day of walking to explore the Greek capital. Breakfast was great since it included almost everything and the service was good, the receptionists were very polite and helpful with everything that we asked from them. If we ever go back to Athens we will certainly choose Metropolitan Hotel again for our stay and we do recommend it to all our friends having no second thoughts.

We stayed at the Metropolitan hotel for a few days this summer and found it to be a pleasant, well run hotel. There were a few issues though. The rooms were a little on the small side for a five star hotel and the restaurant was quite pricey but otherwise the rest of the facilities made up for it. We loved our Molton Brown toiletries and the hotel was in a quiet area with some fantastic restaurants and bars that we explored daily. The shuttle bus into the city centre was invaluable! Overall a good hotel, rooms were clean and staff were very helpful.
