My wife and I had not been to Corfu before but we had envisioned a terribly cheesy hotel from hell after what the brochures had put across. Nevertheless, the hotel turned out to be very nice with a lovely shingle beach (if you can imagine such a thing). Food all round was lovely and despite a few unfriendly Germans we managed to have a lovely time.
