Not as bad as expected. In fact the reviews ruined the beginning of my holiday. The studio was clean, loo roll was provided all week. Everything worked and no ants or lizards. The other guests had a lot to be desired (under age binge drinking chavs), but we expected that so did not bother us, If you want to get away go to the beach, or one of the many other pools near by, that is what we did. Kavos at the end of season is very chilled out, and for people a little older than the target age of 17 is perfect for having fun and letting hair down. We all had a great holiday, for the price it was excellent. The only real problem was the useless waste of space of a rep Darren, who at the welcome meeting ignored the fact that his audience was two families and mature twenty somethings who through enjoy binge drinking, don't need to go a tour to be told how! He ignored us all week, and when we asked about our flights was rude and less than useless. We also heard him telling other guests there were no other rooms in the resort, when there was at least 5 rooms in our part over the road from the main hotel which were much more peaceful, one lady had a 10 year old boy with her and was desperate to move, as the rooms being filled with teenagers where very inappropriate, he was no help at all, and was very rude to her about her concerns. He was just to lazy to do his job. The only thing he seemed concerned about was that we returned the questionnaires so he could have his day off.

I hate to tell you this but it's the worst holiday I’ve ever had... Akrogiali is actually called Seaside Apartments. Olympic changed their name on the website to Akrogiali as that’s Greek for seaside. If you google search seaside apartments kavos it has so many bad reviews that’s why Olympic have tried changing the name hence nothing coming up for Akrogiali. It’s a block of around 32 rooms with a pool by them. It's run by a mouthy English woman called Karen and her curly haired Greek husband Billy. They treated us like something they had scrapped off their shoe. The apartments where not fit for a dog, so dirty and smelly. Rust round the taps the bathroom was decorated in 1940s and mould everywhere. Red ants and bugs everywhere. One tiny shower which leaked and a toilet that didn’t flush in fact we had to wash the soil down by hand with a red bowl they supplied. No linen or towel change all week. The maids forgot to change the bin by the toilet where you put the paper so it smelt.. This hotel is supposed to be 2 star more like -10 star it's so poor. We had to buy our own toilet rolls only one supplied to last the week! The room was very hot but air conditioning is €50 a week, it was too noisy to have the doors open at night loud music and partying larger louts till 5 in the morning so be prepared for sleepless week. Kavos is full of spotty 16 year olds looking to get their end away, racing motorbikes and quad bikes round the hotel like a race track. Every time we complained to Karen the owner she was so mouthy she bit our heads off, very mouthy and loud, and Billy was rude blamed it on his little understanding of English but he understood well enough if it meant taking money from us at the poolside bar... 500ml bottle of water at poolside bar was €2 1.5 LITRES at the supermarket across the road was 80 cents but Karen ripped into us when we were drinking it by the pool one day said some rubbish about it being illegal for us to drink bottled water by their pool as the tax men would fine her, it's just because we were not giving her our money.. The apartments were disgusting the rep Darren did nothing but fob us off all week kept telling us he understood all our problems blah blah the doing a runner promising us to get things sorted and see us later then kept hiding away. Six other people in the apartments were all complaining about similar things and are going to send of videos and photos etc of this place. It’s a disgrace they've changed the name for the booking and website. Kavos main town is 15 min walk from this place that’s why we booked it thinking it would be quiet but it was horrible. What a dump. Be very aware of the owners once we off loaded the problems they then tried telling us they don’t own the apartments and the man that does is a way. Thompson used to fill this apartment so did Libra but now its run with Olympic holidays ask yourself why the other two holiday companies have dropped this stinker off their books. Olympic were not the best of companies on resort we were not told about the welcome meeting so didn’t know vital things we needed to know about on the holiday, the transfers on the coach had no air con I was so hot I felt faint and sick, and all the reps did to and from the airport was bicker about complaining customers and their mate reps who smacked guests etc, what a shambles. I could go on but it ruined our holiday. Never again. Holiday from hell.
