I have just returned from two weeks at Kaparis, the barn complex. The hotel itself is pretty basic but all that can be expected for Kavos. Very clean and well kept pool area, etc, but as other reviews say, no toilet roll. Also make sure you take a towel, none of them either. The complex is in a good area just far enough away from the main strip for the occasional early night but also not too far a walk to all the restaurants and nightlife. As for during the day the cafe, bar and pool were great. There are big screens generally playing Friends, Peter Kay, Lee Evans and sport over and over so if you're into any of those it's a great break from the sun. All staff were really helpfull except the toilet roll thing. If you have read bad reports about it, don't worry, they were probably not the right people to be there. Hope it helps and have fun!

Kavos apartments aren't too bad. I think the only bad thing about our time there was we never got any toilet roll! So we kept nicking it from The Barn toilets. The Barn's not really what everyone seems to tell it as. I saw it as a place to start the night and IF you decide to have an early night it's a good place to finish but I don't think there's any such thing as an early night in Kavos. Other than that it's not the best bar. The tunes are good but get too repetitive and most of the DJs aren't any good. They tend to play half a tune and then mix into another and they don't just switch the tune but the genre too so when you're having a good little rave to a bit of dance music and then pretty woman comes on, it's a bit of a spoiler. Bonkers is a good bet! My advice Trinity and Venue are the best places to go. And one more thing whatever you do, DO NOT get suckered by the reps like we did! They rip you off something rotten, the first night bar crawl is a good ice breaker, the student reunion is a complete waste of time and money, they don't even put alcohol in the free punch. It's awful so make them pour more voddy in it like we did :) The comedian rips into everyone including himself! Oh and the trip to corfu town :( Basically you get about 2 hours to walk around a complete dump to buy rubbish, then you get wisked off for a game of bowling where you are matched into groups of random people you don't even know!! I don't know about you but I don't pay to spend time with people I don't know!! Other than that it really is a great holiday. We are off to Laganas in August anyone got any tips?

The barn complex is the best place place for holidays in Kavos, I recommend it to anyone! The most friendly, party and loud place with excellent services.

Mint Kavos - Matt Evans. Date of travel: Jul 2006
Nine of us went to Kavos in 2005 and it was mint. It was our first lads' holiday together and we didn't know what to expect, but Kavos was mint! Nice club and bar and cheap as well. Our holiday was so good, 10 of us went back there in 2006 and it was mint again!!!
