The Lefkimi Hotel itself was clean and staff was very friendly. The owner Theo was usually always shouting though at his staff and sometimes at the guests in front of everyone, I found him quite an irritating man. The breakfast was just jam and toast, with a brew and orange juice. This didn't bother us as we got good deal out of m.e.n on this holiday and it was only 2.50 for full breakfast 2 doors away which was excellent. Pool was nice clean area and sunbeds have bit of padding on them. The resort though was a sh*t tip, the streets were filthy and some of the clubs hadn't opened all season but had filled with dust and rubbish which never seemed to get cleaned up. Every toilet in that resort never had any loo roll,so you had to keep asking for some and they never gave you a full roll, ever Weird if you ask me. There was some good little pubs amongst the crap, but you had to search well for them. The hotel was probably the cleanest thing on that resort so if you want nice Greece don't go here. Sorry to all the staff at Lefkimi because they are very nice people, but this resort you work in is pooh.

Read some poor reviews on the Lefkimi Hotel. We found it to be clean, well situated with nice staff. Going back in September.

The accommodation is right in the middle of the strip and it was absolutely brilliant! I was a bit wary at first after reading the reviews as they were very negative but my partner (age 36) and I (age 25) had the time of our lives. We have travelled to a lot of places all over the world but still felt very welcome in Kavos despite these comments. I spent a lot of time in both Magalluf and Gran Canaria a few years back working as a holiday rep and even though I was working it still did not compare to my time in Kavos these last 2 weeks. The beach was good and the water sports were great, the excursions were even better and even though people have mentioned (in reviews) that it was nasty, I did not experience any of this nastiness at all. I feel that the people who are leaving these bad reviews need to appreciate the fact that they have probably got themselves a last minute chap deal without knowing what they were expecting. Kavos is a great place with excellent nightlife and daytime activities for all, it's not really the place for families with younger children as most of the events are targeted towards the club 18 to 30s group, however, if you are up for a good night out, no matter what age you are, there will be something or you. As a gay couple we felt very welcome in Kavos and would definitely recommend it to anyone. If you want to pay over the odds, go to the Caribbean! I you want a great deal, go to Kavos. Overall, Corfu as an island caters for everyone, with excellent scenery, great towns and a lot of history. The island itself is a beautiful place to stay and even though Kavos is more orientated towards the younger generation, there are so many other gorgeous places to visit outside this little town. I feel that these people leaving these bad reviews are obviously very narrow minded up their own a***s. Get yourself to Kavos for the time of your life!

The Lefkimi Hotel was in a great location for the nightlife. You could hear it at night when trying to sleep but we got used to it. It was extremly well kept and cleaned very regularly. The staff we truly helpful and very friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day it beat our expectations by far. We would definitely stay there if we go back to Kavos. I wouldn't say it was a place for families though as it was rather loud at night but there was activites for them to do!

All you could smell was excrement, wasps everywhere, rooms were terrible (no hot water), awful balcony view - were overlooking a roof where some poor soul lives!! The staff were not friendly at all, one of the boys that worked there got one of our friends by the throat!! The breakfast was delicious - NOT, it was 2 slices of toast and a rotten cup of tea... But apart from that it was a good holiday!! The hotel is splat bang in the middle of the main strip. Not a place for light sleepers!!

We stayed in Lefkimi Hotel Aug 20th for two weeks...at first I was a little shocked but when you're having so much fun in Kavos you don't care where the hell you sleep!! The bathroom lights are not too bright and they should hook the showers onto the walls....also they only had a fridge, no toaster, kettle, etc which was annoying. But I must say Aris the receptionist is quality, we miss him loadz!!!! And the little old lady is really sweet too. Be careful out there coz I got eaten alive by the mosquitoes. If I were you, don't open the balcony doors ever lol....cause they get ya!!! Have a wicked time I will still stay here again cause when you're out there the accommodation don't matter at all xxxxxxxxxx

What can I say really?? - top tips for travellers staying at Lefkimi hotel:- 1) Take lots of mosquito spray - I spent loads on this and I swear some must've just had water and sugar in! I was bitten to shreds! 2) Sun cream - I went in August and it was 45 degrees for the whole 2 weeks - I burnt lots - def when I went in the sea! 3) Go on boat trips - I think one took you to the Blue Lagoon or something like that - it's beautiful and worth paying to see. 3) Go to the Forum Bar - it's at the end of the strip and does karaoke every night - but if you pay something like 12 you get a stamp on your hand and its a free bar for 2 hours! Got wrecked many nights on that. 3) Check out Alantis - it's really good - lovely bar that leads onto the beach. 4) Be careful of the little kids who try to sell you glue sticks/hats etc - they do it every night and can be forecful. 5) Pay for the safety deposit box - worth it - at least it is something that you don't have to worry about it was only 10 and we kept our passports etc in it. 6) Go and see the hypnosis show that is in the bar near Forum bar - was the best night ever - so funny!

At first we thought what the hell are we getting ourselves into as everyone seemed over friendly too soon, but within a next day we felt right at home. They are class people who work there even though some of them can't speak a word of English they are class! Have a great laugh with them. They are just like your parents watching after you! Definitely a place a would stay again if I were to go. Placed right on the main strip, easy to get back to if you need more money on a night out or anything ..... don't listen to some reviews, what people say and things which may have happened there!!

We went to Lifkimi Hotel in Sept 2006. Me and my mate had a wicked time. Everyone in the hotel was brill. Theo the manager treated us like his his kids which was kind of annoying. Yanis and Aris were like brothers to us which was lovely. Anwyay, it was the best holiday EVER. Going back this year for good I think. Thanks to the cleaning lady who came in every morning to clean our rooms and to wake us up. And bless her she got a stain out of my mates skirt.

I went on holiday to Kavos with my mate & stayed at Lefkimi Hotel in September last year. The room was basic but very clean (after all you are only sleeping there). Aris & Ellie who work on reception were absolute sweet hearts. Our alarm clock broke so they would come and wake us up. Also the both women who usually work in the bar at the pool were ace, as was the resident DJ. You couldn't be in a better spot. P.S There is an amazing amazing bar nearer the bottom end of the strip, if you turn left when you come out Lefkimi, the guys who work there are mental, they set the bar on fire and are such a great laugh. It had a funny name so I can't member what it was, we only found it on our 4th last night, soooo wish I had found it at the start. Guys you will luv Kavos, especially if you are staying at the Lefkimi Hotel. Steff xxx

When we arrived it was 4 in the morning and when we got in the Lefkimi hotel we got told to shut up! Next day the toilet seat broke - was reported but was not fixed for 2 days. Then they tryed to charge us £150 euros for some black mark we did not make on the matress and the bed was broken. Manager and receptionist (Ellie) very rude people. Tour Operator: Cosmos

Nicest hotel in Kavos
Was excellent for me and my friend...right in the middle of the strip...kept very clean. What more do you want? The pool was lovely and everyone we spoke to regarded Lefkimi as the nicest hotel in Kavos. We were even asked if we were posh staying there! Definitely not the place if you're over there for a non clubbing holiday but otherwise spot on!!! Loved it. Tour Operator: Thomas cook

I thought the hotel was alright, our bed kept breaking but we kept fixing it :D The staff werent rude when we were there, but then some rooms on the bottom floor got broken into and the staff started to get rude then, however Ellie was very sweet and nice, we did a runner halfway thorough the holiday without telling the hotel staff, walked out of reception with our suitcased at 11 at night which was funny... then they even came and gave us free water. Perfectly placed though.. right literally in the middle of everything Reps were brilliant as well, I lost my suitcase and my wallet on the first day, and got everything back thanks to them. When we arrived at Lefkimi I was really impressed it stood out on the strip as it look quiet posh. The rooms were ok. They were cleaned 6 times a week but I didn't think our sheets got changed once. The staff were rude and pushy and you could not take anyone up to your room that wasn't staying in the hotel. The breakfast wasn't very nice either and was only served from 7-9: not very useful when you are not coming in till 7 in the morning. Tour Operator: First Choice

After reading all the reviews on the Internet last year we were really dreading the holiday, but thought you only live once so, so what!... When we got into Kavos and the bus started dropping people off it didn't look that nice, so we were beginning to wonder what we had let ourselves in for!! When we got to our hotel it was the nicest looking on the whole main strip. Phew!! A nice receptionist even carried our bags to our room! The room was nice enough: basic but that's all you need. The shower was a bit dodgy, but they all are in Corfu apparently. There was a little bit of a smell in Kavos but only in the evening, depending on what way the wind was blowing. Our room backed onto one of the clubs which was going till late at night, but we weren't disturbed by it at all. The pool was nice enough, but the beach wasnt that great. We went on a lot of excursions and they were good! We wouldn't go back for a few years because after a week we ran out of things to do. However if we were going back to Kavos we would only stay at this hotel because most of the others looked nasty! Oh, and the promoters are really annoying! Tour Operator: Sunset

Went to Kavos, stayed at lefkimi in 2003, what a great holiday I will never forget, only gripe I would have about the area is the wasps & the smell!, but after a few nights out i`d lost all my senses so who cares! Watch out for girls trying to sell glow bands, they will rob you. Apart from that amazing, great club just by the beach, also a camp fire usually burning, what a great place to get wrecked, go karts down the road, I ran out of cash & managed to pawn a gold chain down the road which was even better (well, at the time).
