Yes, the rooms are basic, but they contain everything you'll need. The hotel is clean and friendly, I would recommend self catering - just make sure you get all appliances even if you have to ask several times. If you go on a boat trip, do not book with travel rep as they'll overcharge you. Lemon Grove is close to all bars and restaurants, we loved Rolling Stones. The PRs can be annoying but just be honest with them and they'll just be helpful. Me and my sister stayed at this hotel from 10th August until 17th, we met a lot of great people who were all out for a laugh!!!!

What a bargain!! Ok, it kinda smelt bad in the mornings but it was fine. The people there were the best and so, so kind. At first we were annoyed cause of the lack of room and no fridge and stuff but we soon got over that cause you don't even spend much time there anyway. Kavos is the best place to go if you want to party and go to the karaoke bar (Forum Bar) cause the DJ is the best thing ever!!! We got back from there like a week ago and are already booking to go next year! Woo hoo! Can't wait... see ya next August!

Rooms at the Lemon Grove Hotel were basic. If going bed and breakfast you didn't even get a fridge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beware of the mosquitoes, there were hundreds. Me and my mates all got eaten alive!

Don't get me wrong Lemon Grove Hotel was nice in terms of location, facilities and quality of accomodation. However, it is the staff that are the problem. Me and my party were falsely accused of breaking a window in the complex and forced to pay €100! In protesting our innocence a member of my party was slapped by the manager and told to leave. They had absolutely no evidence to blame this broken window on us but would not listen to our objections. The police later arrived and after a mini investigation we were put in the clear. However, the manager refused to give us back our €100 pretending he had not recieved any money from us at all. The staff are manipulative, liars, scamming and worst of all assaulted a paying customer. Please don't get sucked into the pretty exterior of Lemon Grove. The staff ruinied our holiday.

Perfect location
The Lemon Grove is situated in the perfect location. At one end of the strip, set just back from the main road, its away from all the noise, but within easy walking distance of everything. We didn't notice any unpleasent smell as I read in reviews before I went away. The food served at the Lemon Grove Apartments is stingy for the price. The 'breakfast' included in our B&B bpard consisted of tea or fresh orange, 2 pieces of toast, 1 sachet of butter and 1 sachet of jam. It was served until 11am though. Pool was cleaned evey night. The staff were every helpful, especially Spearos and the security guard. Definately rent a fan, 2 Euros a night is WELL worth it as no rooms have a/c. The watersports place on the beach is great. Safe and reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Lemon Grove Apartments which is about an hour and a half away from the airport and the main town. Four of us went so we stayed 2 to a studio. First imprssions were that it was a bit small but you don't spend much time there apart from sleeping and getting ready. The only thing to complain about was the shower facility. It's basically a small square that you stand in... girls it's so hard to shave your legs!! You don't get a a glass screen or shower curtain so water goes everywhere which means that you're practically breaking your neck when you get out!! No joke! We had to keep asking the maids for towels to put down. And the shower gets blocked, and then overflows all over the floor, so if you're getting ready at the same time leave it about half an hour after each other! We asked why it happens and it's because the drainage in Corfu is rubbish! Don't flush your toilet roll unless you want a fine for blocking the pipes...one of our girls had an upset stomach constantly and got told about flushing toilet roll. Other than that accommodation was absolutley fine. The pool is lovely and so is the beach, you have to pay €2 for the beds which I recommmend you get unless you want kittens standing all over you!! There are cats all over Corfu. We didn't really think much of the restaurant on site, was a bit expensive for what you got and watch the waiter that works at night... he's a bit pervy and was nearly drooling over me and my mates whilst we were eating!! Lemon Grove is really nicely placed on the strip.

The Best Holiday Hotel!
The Lemon Grove Hotel is great! We stayed there for a week in June/July. The staff were very polite and always said hello and went out of their way to help you. I found this hotel quite lively and noisy at night, I imagine it could be fine for families during the quiet season but definitely more for couples and groups who love going out at night! The breakfast was a continental breakfast but there was a full english availible at €2.50. The hotel is directly on the beach we stayed in room 95 and had a great view of the sea and mainland Greece, The facilities are basic you get a pool and loungers etc. but you do have to pay €2 for the sunloungers!! Also for the clubbers it is at the top of the strip so you don't have to walk anywere to the bars or the beach! I cant see how the other hotels can live up to this - it's clean and tidy your room is cleaned every other day if you need towels, etc just ask reception it will be done before you go back to your room! The picture is of the receptionist who was friendly and went out of his way to talk to us!

I went to the lemon grove hotel in september 06, it was towards the end of season, tho this didnt seem to make a difference, as it was still busy and the pubs and resturants still had a pleasant lively atmosphere. We ate out the first night, and found it poor, after that we chose to eat in the hotel on a night, we were very impressed with the wide variety on the menu, and the food was excellent value for money! we had a full english every morning, which was only 1.5 euros! the beach was well maintained, and always clean, along with its warm clean sea, we really enjoyed our holiday and would deffinately go back, we also recommend the bbq cruise which takes you to a private island for a bbq then on the the blue lagoon (james bond) for some champagne diving! and excellent day out. the only down side to this holiday was the pr's of the pubs and resturants, they follow you down the strip to get you in their place, it can be quite tedious. great place, great people and an excelent hotel!

Rooms small but clean enough, towels small. Beds hard. Electric rings painfully slow. Who cares ! Apartments well situated just far enough away from the strip and close to beach. Bring insect repellent, cream etc. Good pool but 2 euros a day for sunbed! They're always looking for a way to get more money from you! In general 7 out of 10 (cheap and cheerful). Kavos not bad I surpose, beach reminded me of Cleethorpes, but nice view from the balcony. Kavos not bad I suppose, beach reminded me of Cleethorpes. There is a nice view from the balcony of the Lemon Grove Apartments but there’s not much else good to say about it. Cleaners don’t clean they just steal. Towels were a joke you could have had a shave on them. They were just like ryvita's but you would have had to provide your own butter and jam. Toilets don't flush. If you go bed and breakfast make sure you take your own eggs, bacon and sausage as they only provide toast oh and a bit of jam. And if you want a sun bed make sure you take plenty of euros as you will be charged two euros per person per day and make sure you don't move sun beds cos you will be charged again. If you want a good night's sleep make sure you pull and sleep in their bed, cos the bed's are like sleeping on a morgue slabs. Anyway have a Happy Holiday!!!! But don't say you weren’t warned. LEMON GROVE APARTMENTS!! 2 euros full eEglish brekky!! Beat that. Really nice rep and friendly people. Don't annoy the security guard as he is a hot head! It is located close to the main clubs and bars but just away from the major noise. Rooms are good value for money, slightly hot but what do you expect in Corfu. Maids only clean the floor. No towels so bring your own and if you're in self catering, you get 2 little electric rings!! Apart from that all you need is a bed, a shower and a pool 2 relax by to enjoy the day before a night out...ENJOY!! Tour Operator: Sunset
Family Run and Friendly - Hayley and Emilee. Date of travel: Jul 2005
Family Run and Friendly
We went to Kavos July and it was brilliant!! We had heard bad reports of Kavos and the smell but we didn't experience any of these. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks. The Lemon Grove Hotel (NOT Lemon Grove apartments!!) was really nice. Family run, friendly: hotel was clean and had own bit of beach which was cleaned every day. The rest of the beach was horrible with rubbish everywhere!! The night life was quite good but if you don't like dancing I wouldn't bother!! There were a few cheesy bars but the clubs were dance and r&b. The strip is good apart from after 1 am; the sound goes off when police pass so we found ourselves standing in silence a lot of the time!! We were surprised how empty places were at night so unless you're in a big group its awkward going in to places. We think that Kavos is past its sell by date!!!! If you're ganna you'll have fun. I'd recommend paying a bit more for a hotel cos the cheaper ones were junk and mainly above bars and shops. Tour Operator: Sunset

Yes it is a basic hotel, but it contains everything you need for a great partying holiday. Me and my sister stayed here from 10 August until 17 August and we met some great people. Most of the staff are friendly, and the rooms were clean. I would recommend self catering but make sure you get everything you need even if you have to ask for cups, knives and forks etc.. The hotel is situated far away enough from the noise of the bars and yet close enough to walk along the strip for a great bar crawl. Rolling Stones was our favourite bar that we always ended up in. The PRs can be annoying, but just be honest with them and they'll be kind and friendly. If you go on a boat trip, don't book with your tour operator as they'll charge you double the price, you can book from several shops. We had a great time at lemon grove and Kavos, it's a great place to relax by day, drink far too much by night...
