Takis Apartments - Eddie Quinn. Date of travel: Jul 2007
This was my first time in Greece and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay than Takis Apartments. The owners were fantastic and went out of their way to get to know you and join in the fun. The flats are basic but I have stayed in dearer hotels but not been made as welcome. All in all we had a fantastic two weeks and are hoping to go back soon.

Takis apartment was perfect for our needs, ok it was basic, but as we only used it as a base, sleep and breakfast, we were not expecting the Ritz. We had a lovely long balcony, both bedrooms were spacious and remained cool (thank goodness!) the bathroom can get a little smelly, but due to the plumbing, your paper needs to go in the bin provided, but this is the norm for the island, and was the case 16 years ago, on our last visit (did think this may have improved by now, but alas not!!) The pool area was great, very quiet, and never had to fight for the sunbeds, plenty, and kept spotlessly clean. Only downside, some nights it did get quite noisy, if people wanted to drink then they could drink at the bar by the pool, as late as they wanted, this sometimes went on until early hours. Didn't affect our 5-yr-old, as he was out like a light, but for us it was a bit of a 'mare!!

There were 2 Takis apartments 1 with Direct holidays and 1 with Olympic holidays. We went with Olympic me and 4 of my mates. We went for 2 weeks it was great. would recommend the apartments 2 any1. Hotel bar man was not 2 friendly but our rep Emma made up for that she was great and hot 2.We had a great laugh with her she was pretty mental actually, if she is there next year tell her the Cardiff if lads said alright as she always says. The hotel is next 2 a great restaurant my family its lovely.
