Best Place To Stay In Sidari - Laura Loveridge. Date of travel: Jul 2007
This was my 1st visit to Sidari (my mum's first trip abroad actually)... we travelled with first choice who were very helpful from the moment we got to the airport. We were the only family getting off at Zafiris Apartments. As we were a little late getting to resort, staff were waiting for us at the bottom of the little hill with a car waiting to take us & our luggage a 30 second journey up to our apartments (which was thoughtful as most would have you walk)! Apartments are basic but very clean... pool, pool bar & restaurant are really good. Staff are amazing, always up for a chat... you have a phone in your room which you can call to have room service free of charge, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Located just off a main road of Sidari so within 2 mins walking to local shops and a few bars. 10 min walk to Sidari main strip where all bars & nightclubs are. Situated next to Canal d'Amour and 2 other beaches! Do not book excursions with your reps, they are 2 or 3 times the price of local agents. I recommend Selinis TRavel...I became quite close with Helena there (as I am moving to Sidari). Food is cheap and nice - recommend Angelina's, lovely food and a ticket for a free bottle of wine when you go again (we must have had about 8)! Staff there are wicked too. I could write so much more... this was the best holiday I've been on. Some areas a bit smelly due to sewers but nothing you can't handle... I'm going back to Sidari in September!
