1. Rooms were not furnished according to catalogue. We missed bedclothes, fridge, TV, on balcony were not chairs, table. Air conditioning was out of order. In the night there were swarms of mosquitoes and we have all kinds of repellents. Clean lady didn’t put out the bin. 2. Every day was the same food, one day we have only fish and boiled cauliflower. For breakfast hard bread, once there wasn’t any tea, juice and napkins. Fruits only apples and oranges. Desert was only three rimes from 12 days. 5 days we had instead of meat only bones. At the pool bar there wasn’t coffee available. Instead of beer only foam. No child menu (everything fat and spicy). In the surrounding no shop. 3. Manager of the hotel Costas Maigelis was rude to guest after they asked for elementary food missing (tee, juice...) BUT very nice nature, beautiful sea and mountains, quiet...

We arrived about 2am, really nice looking on the outside and very pleasing on the inside. Rooms were very clean. Fresh towels and bed covers every morning. Happy about the food. Every day they had something different, even for all the moany people. Food was always hot too. Pools were a nice size and kept clean. Best of all no need to get up at a silly time to get a sunbed. The pool bar was run by only one person (Mitsi) she was really lovely and worked very, very hard! There could have been more snacks on offer but didn't mind as lunch was at 12h30 and dinner at 19h00. Beach was lovely (pebbles though) plenty of beds for you there too, just a little 1 min walk if you want watersports. Plenty of kiddy things to be done in the kids club, gives you some time out. Night entertainment was fun somewhat different every night. Only on till about 23h30 but great time to hit the clubs down town(only costs €7.50 in taxi or €1.40 on bus) the bar in the hotel is open till 2am if you dont feel like going out or to bed. On site there are quads/bikes/buggies for you to hire for the day. Very nice way to go sightseeing. Roads felt safe. Go up the mountains slowly, lovely view of the place. All the staff were really lovely and it's because of them I'm going back next year. They really made us feel welcome and relaxed (miss Lucy, Richerd, Slavic so much). I have been reading reviews on different sites about this hotel and some sound like they have been made up. Why do these moany people go on holiday? There isn't nothing wrong with this hotel. I wouldn't be goin back if there was! People like that should stay at home cause you are ruining places like this for us.

Hotel very clean, food awful! Cold. Don't go there. There is no kitchen. Food is brought in on a cash and carry van. Mostly wanting heating up. Very good cleaners though. Left her €50 tip. Animation staff did best they could without any funding. Very tight manager I think. No vending machine for kids so beware if you don't stock your fridge up from little shop with goodies. There's nothing for them. Pool never cleaned. It has a brown tide mark round it. Khaled a star with all his helpers. Good luck for the future. You deserve the best.

The hotel itself is quite nice but I wouldn't count on having any decent food. It was exactly the same for the 2 weeks I was there and it all pretty much tasted rubbish. The staff are rude too there are 2 people who are ok, Mitzie at the pool bar and 1 of the waiters in the restaurant who looks like Jaws out of James Bond. It's only €7.50 to get to Kardamena town. I would advise going out to eat most nights. Salt and Pepper is good and so is Alexanders.

Just arrived back July '07. Hotel ok but full of ants, staff ok, Mitzie was the best, food was disgusting, same rubbish every day, run out of food 2 days before we came home, wouldn't advise you to take kids there unless they like chips. One good point plenty of sunbeds, manager and rep very unhelpful and rude. Got woken up by the house keeper demanding us out of bed. Never knock on door, just barged in felt like we were school children. Would not advise anyone to go there. As it really is a hotel from hell.

All I can say is, why do people go on holiday just to moan, too hot, ugh not eating that, blah, blah, blah. Having come back from the Kalimera Mare 19-08-07, me, my partner & son Rhys and the inlaws had a great time. Food ok, no problems, very clean hotel, clean sheets, towels changed every day, the maids do knock and very polite, we had a really good time while staying at the Kalimera. Only prob was there was no snacks at night, not a lot for young kids to do, day or night entertainment wise, but hey kids have fun, full stop. Would go back again, met some great people from Notts, Mark, Helen, etc. So yeah, would recommend. So for all the moaners who were put there because of over booking at your chosen hotel, better luck next year, or might I say Skegness is quite nice this time of year for your Fish & Chips.
