Kardamena the best hol!! - Hayley. Date of travel: Sep 2007
I've been back from Kardamena for 3 weeks and I'm still strugglin 2 get back to the city life. Before I went to the Kardamos Hotel I was a bit worried about the stuff people had said about it being full of ants and a shower that just drips! This is rubbish. There weren't any ants in my room and the shower was fine although it is one you have to hold. The rooms are very basic but if your on an 18-30s hol you're not gonna be in it much. The room was clean which is most important. Kardamena is full of shops. Kebab shops bars and clubs it was heaven and there's even a McDonalds on the beach. Everything you need is no more than 10 - 15 min walk. We went on booze cruises proms and water parks. The reps were brilliant they don't make you do anything you don't want to and don't wake you up in the mornings. They will ask you on your first day what you would like to do and then leave you to it and just tell you the meeting times. Mel was the best rep! I'm going again next year and will prob stay in the same hotel. If you're expecting 5 star it's NOT for you, you get what you pay for. We paid 228 for two weeks. If you want 5 star you wont find that here, but the actual place is brilliant the people are so nice. PRs make me laugh, we kept running away from them, had some really really nice meals. If you are going can I come in your suitcase?? Oh and say hi to Euro on the bar in Kardamos. He's the best xx

Ok well when I read all the other reviews about Kardamos Studios I was getting scared. Me and 4 other lasses went, when we got there the was a massive cockroach in our room and I mean massive. But if you just buy some srapy to kill them then it's fine. Had the best holiday ever and want to go back. The location was ok not on the main strip but you hardly notice the 10 minute walk trust me. Yes the pool was green and swamped out with bugs, but 2 mins away there is anothe public pool that is free called the Blue Lagoon. All the reps was great and the staff was ok as well. The rooms are very basic but who cares about the rooms if you are going on a 18-30 you are never in them. If you are looking for a 5 star accommodation then Kardamos is not the place for ou but if you want cheep and cheerful then I would recommend it. We stayed in the studios. I would never recommend the actual hotel the rooms are tiny and red hot. Trust me you will have a scream. Kardamena is the place to be!!

Just got back from two weeks in Kardamena with my boyfriend and another couple and have had a fantastic time. If you're staying at the Kardamos you won't be disappointed- a real friendly place -Mathos the night porter is the most lovely Greek person on the island and will ensure that you are welcomed. Pool is lovely as you have plenty of room to swim and splash about, music is played, and they have a decent snack bar that serves great milkshakes. The only downside is a lot of the sunbeds are broken and the actual pool can be quite swamped with bugs at times. If you are thinking of going-then don't hestitate but book the studios rather than the rooms as these are much bigger. Plus the location is good too, only a 5-10 min walk to the beach/strip.
As for nightlife- Crackers on the seafront is a must - their shark bait fishbowls or their dogs bollocks will ensure you wont be left standing at the end of the night. Bar street is a bit overrated and the pr's can get a bit annoying. They won't think twice about physically dragging you in and making false promises about free shots. Music goes off at 12 which is a shame but you can head off to the clubs after this. Recommend Mad! - great atmosphere...oh and the foam party at Starlight 4 15euros - a lot more foam than I had anticipated.(DO NOT book anything from the reps-some ppl we met that did got completely ripped off compared to us, and ended up skint - don't even bother with the welcome meeting)
Place to eat is Scala on the seafront. Every single breakfast and meal there was divine - esp the fillet steak. Do not go to Foo King Gou, the Chinese place next door to this as one of the workers told us they serve cat!Unfortunately we ate here before we found out.
Save some money for the watersports - these are amazing. The prices weren't too bad either. 60 euros for a package which included the parascending, the flyfish and the crazy squab. Make sure you've saved up some energy for the flyfish and squab, especially the latter as you are left absolutely drained. If you were to ask me would I go to Kardamena again the answer would be no doubt, and I'm jealous of anyone who is planning to go soon.

Kardamos appartments weren't the best in the resort. Location wasn't great but it was quiet at night. Only €5 taxi so not bad. the pool was dirty (green) dead flys and bugs in the pool (on our last day a guest cleaned the pool out so we could go in it) we used the blue lagoon public pool which was a 5 min walk from appartments and so clean and friendly. snack bar there was fab great cuppa. nightlife in kardamena was fab, PR's got a bit physical if you said NO to them. Liquid pr's were fab and got you away from the others without pressure about going in there bar. Crackers was a fab bar the staff looked after you and treated you like a local (knew your drink and had it ready on the bar b 4 you asked for it) Butch and jay dance moves are fab and the music was also fab defo looked after you in there. Louis loved the foam party at Starlight. Even thou the music goes off at midnight the guys know how to keep you entertained in there. Defo go back next year but not to the kardamos.

I would not recomend this hotel or apartments. They're too far from the strip and u have to walk up lots of dark hills and long roads which are very scary !!! The pool is green !!! Yes green !!! The apartments are o.k, very basic but they have got what u need - a bed, balcony and a shower but lots of ants and and we had a few cockroaches wander in to our room at nite and they wer'nt little, they were about 4 inches long so unless u like cockroaches, ants, sweaty rooms, green pools and dark long winding roads then don't stay here !! I'd recomend the Elga Hotel which is clean and spacious (this is were we spent most of our 2 week holiday) !!! But apart from the accomodation Kos is definitly one one of the best Greek Islands!! If u go u must go to the foam party, pure temptation and trinity!!! Tour Operator: Club 18-30

Just got back from a fortnight in Kos with 2 of ma m8s. Stayed in the Kardamos studios which were very basic but clean. Maid service was every day which took me by surprise. Everyone was very friendly especially the luvly mathos the night porter he was so sweet. If i had to criticise anything it would be the location of the apts i wouldnt recomment walking home alone as the path back home is not very well lit. The nightlife in Kos was magic we were 5 mins from the main club Starlight. Other good club was Status and if you like a bit of cheesy music then Downtown was the place to be. We went with club 18 to 30 and did a lot of the events with them like foam party, cabaret, booze cruise and bar crawls which we felt was worth the money. The reps were fantastic as well, looking forward to catching up with them all when we head to the reunion at Skegness in December.

There were 7 of us form Liverpool that went to Kos on the 21st July 2005 for 2 weeks. We travelled with 18-30 and stayed in Kardamos studios. It was our first girlie holiday so we decided to have the time of our lives (which we did). Kardamena is a great place for first timers. The bars and clubs are great, especially Status and Starlight which play r&b and funky house. The music does go off in the bars at 12 but it doesn’t really bother you because you can just go straight to the clubs, which stay open till 6. I would totally recommend the foam party, which is on a Saturday at Starlight. Its great we all went in bikinis because you get absolutely soaked. Where we stayed I expected it to be an absolute hole but surprisingly it was alright; not the best of places but perfect for what you want on a clubbing holiday. Kardamos studios is situated right by Starlight and only a 5 min walk from the bars so it is perfect to stroll in after a long night. There is a water park in Kos but its not the best of places. It cost only 17 euros which is not a lot of money and it does get you away from the pool. We did have a laugh there though because there were 11 of us including London boys we had met over there so we made the most of the day. (By the way there is only 6 slides there). Anyway I would recommend Kardamena to everyone; its fab and you will not be disappointed. P.S we are all suffering from holiday depression we all want to be back there living the dream on the island of Kos. Sarah x x x x Tour Operator: 18-30
