Me and Louise are just back from Aphrodite Hotel last week, it was really nice and very clean. We can't say anything bad bout the hotel or staff. Dennis was really good to get on with and also very helpful to everyone that asks him anything. Yes we would go back next year as we were there last year too. So I would recommend Laganas to anyone as the place is nice and the people are really nice to get on with. Plus Bobby Fae Relax bar is spot on and would make anyone have a great time as he's a top guy!

Why does everyone seem to think the hotel and the staff at this hotel was the bees knees? Dennis was so ignorant and damn right rude. The owner didn't even say hello. The doors for the rooms were smashed in and you had to really force yourself against it to lock the thing! The food was vile! They were charging €9 for a bottle of wine, the supermarket over the road were selling the same bottle for €2! They didn't want you to buy food or drink from anywhere else because they would lose money! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless all they want is a 24/7 party AWAY from the hotel!

Aprhrodite Hotel can only be described in one word...BASIC! It was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a cheap holiday. However I did go with a group of six girls, and we weren't spending very much time in our room. I wouldn't really recommend this hotel to older couples or families due to the amount of youngsters as it can get very noisy during the night and early hours of the morning. The pool is fairly small, but was ideal and the location of Aphrodite was amazing as it is followed by a strip of restaurants followed by bars and clubs and then reaching the beach at the end, which is about a 15 minute walk. If by the end of a night you are feeling too tired to walk back, taxis are really cheap, costing €5 to get back. Finally I'd just like to say Aprodite is a lovely welcoming hotel, clean, with a lovely snack bar. The only query we had was the maids coming in and cleaning whilst we were sleeping!!

We have just returned from 2 glorious sun filled weeks at the Aphrodite Hotel - we went 1st October 2006 until 15th. Weather 30 degrees most days, the pool is small sized but ample for the 40 rooms as most people are out and about. It is spotlessly clean, the pool bar and snack shack is lovely as is the girl Anita who runs it ,the owner George doesnt speak much English but is very helpfu.l The maids are lovely, beds changed 3 times week clean towels daily if you want them. According to what others were saying that were staying at the places up and down the road the Aphrodite Hotel is definately the best by far. Our first time in Greece we met some lovely older quieter couple as we are and we thoughly enjoyed it. We've travelled to many places but this takes some beating. We had a wonderful time and would love to go back for a reunion. June and John finney Knutsford in cheshire

The Aphrodite is a good studio hotel but we did have money stolen {50 EUROS} and after talking to other people staying there we found out that a lot of people are being ripped of with money and gold chains, so watch out, we didnt rent the deposit box, but will next time. The staff[owners]are always a misery, but hey i wasnt there to look at their sad kippers, other than our money being stolen we enjoyed every minute of our time there, Greeks are very nice and polite, cant wait for next year.

Clean it may be, but certainly not quiet or relaxing, breakfast was rotten... pool was full of teenagers and most of them drinking, hotel bar open all night and very noisy. Never again, if you're a couple or older than 18, stay away!

ok, but not great location
The Aphrodite hotel itself was lovely!!! Clean and gorgeous! And the rooms are pretty much standard and also quite nice - 2 beds, mirrors, draws, balcony, en suite, wardrobe, air conditioning (about €20 a week), safety deposit box (about €10 a week), fridge (also extra cost). I was slightly disappointed with the location of my room because it was on the ground floor and anyone could have looked in! Although there are shutters, a net door (to keep mosquitos out), and a glass door which can all be locked. the pool is quite small but reasonable. The food at the pool bar is good although the staff there were quite forgetful and I waited 30mins for toast! I had to remind them and it was done in 2mins! - it was quite funny! The Aphrodite hotel is situated on the main road (so is the pool!) and its about 25min walk to the beach and all the night life, which isnt that bad because the time just flies by! Breakfast is pointless but worth a try seen as though it's paid for! there's tea, ham, cheese, bread, proper french toast (not eggy bread) in other words crunchy bread, cereal and cake. rooms are cleaned everyday seen as though toilet paper is not allowed to be thrown in the toilet throughout the whole of zante! and sheets are changed 2-3 times a week. the maid is lovely and so funny so your things are quite safe (i got a safety deposit box anyway just incase!) the staff there are really moody (except the maid!) and considering its classed as a lively hotel, the night staff yelled at us for talking and having a laugh in our rooms! and i quote; "what the f*** are you doing?! its 2:30am!!! we werent even loud! there are no rules or specifications on noise levels or bringing visitors to the rooms and we were still yelled at! but what do they expect when they have 24hr bar?! i went in a group of 10 and those who had a 3 bed bedroom, the 3rd bed was a camp bed but i was told it was more comfy than the actual beds!!! overall the holiday was amazing! and although the hotel sounds bad its actually very good (except for the staff) i would definately go again! We stayed in the Aphrodite hotel in Laganas. we had a wicked time here!!! The hotel is really funky and very clean. although the beach is about 1km away it doesnt seem that far at all. The beach at Zante was lovely and the sea was like having a bath it was that warm!!! What I liked about this hotel was the fact that you were not in the middle of the party... the night life was fab so dont forget your dancing shoes!!!! Greece is always one of my favourites...CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. Tour Operator: Sunset
