I would not recommend anyone who needs a reliable room, especially late at night, goes to the Hotel Ajanta. My sister emailed and rang twice to reserve a room, and an airport pickup (she was arriving at 3am) and they assured her it was all confirmed. No one at the airport when she arrived, and when she rang they told her they'd given her room to someone else who wanted to stay longer. She was then stranded in Delhi with nowhere to go in the middle of the night. So be warned!

Hotel Ajanta is a clean and very comfortable hotel. It has spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. The service here is excellent. For the price we paid, we got a deal worth it. The running hot water, clean bathrooms and excellent services were commendable compared to any overpriced hotels. The rooms include TV and fridge, which were handy. Overall, we are very happy with the hotel as the staff put our comfort first.

I have just retuned from Delhi tour where I stayed in hotel Ajanta for four days. Although I liked all the aspects of the hotel but the thing that I loved the most was it mini handicraft shop. The shop offers unique Indian handicrafts and is really worthwhile to visit. Overall nice establishment, highly recommended.

Myself Paul and I'm the strong admirer of Ajanta hotel. My native town is in Canada. I hired the hotel for 5 days and had absolutely no complaints with the hotel and its services. They are a group of extremely caring and trustworthy people. There services are pretty prompt and reliable. The staff is helping and thus it can be said that the hotel is perfect destination to stay in especially when you are looking for a budget hotel.

The Hotel Ajanta is very nicely constructed hotel in the centre of the capital city of India. It has all the facilities that a mid range guest wishes for. I am a strong admirer of the hotel after my stay at the hotel in my recent Delhi trip. I liked the services, rooms as well as the food of the inbuilt restaurant. The hotel is really worthwhile to stay especially when one is looking for mid range hotel in Delhi.

Yes, Hotel Ajanta has a free pickup. When asked to turn on AC in the car, a smile was switched on, and extortion of INR 200. Had to negotiate down to 100. The driver tried fearlessly to offer his endless, overpriced services. If the answer was no, then no more big smile. Upon arrival, we were told to go to the "next door" hotel because of electrical outage. The "next-door hotel" has a big hole on the wall, and a service personnel would not give us any hot water until I was trained to tip him every step of the way. Yes, big smile, and a bucket of lukewarm water after 20 INR. Felt like a hostage, not a guest. The driver said 4-star, the hotel personnel said 3.5 star, I say -2 star. One thing I must say to be fair about the hotel is that if you want to see cows roaming on the street, no need to go far--step out of the lobby and there they are!

This hotel is a good budget hotel in Delhi & they provide a free airport pick up which is a plus point. It was quiet, clean and good in all standards. The management was very good and the staff was also helpful. The rooms were nicely made and maintained. The Internet service was also quite useful. Altogether my stay here was fantastic.

We have stayed at the Hotel Ajanta in the month of October, we really liked their rooms. We booked our room through their website and asked them for free pick up service. They were too good in replying our request, you can say we got the reply in next 3 hours. Really appreciated. The guy met us at the airport and took us to the hotel. We really loved the meal at the restaurant. Overall it was good place to stay.

I stay in this Hotel last month. This hotel is very good. First I tell you that its location is perfect, very close to 5 minutes from New Delhi railway station and 10 minutes way from Cannaught Place (the main city centre. It is also close to Karol Bagh shopping market. All the staff of this hotel is very nice. In my opinion Ajanta Hotel is a very good Hotel and nice place in Delhi.

It is one of the cleanest hotels I found during my entire visit to India. I had chance to stay in the Hotel Ajanta's luxury floor at a lowest price, as they have upgraded room facility, so upon arrival when thye told me I was really like to see the rooms before going to book. But really I liked the room. Their rooftop lounge was amaziing. Overall I like it and would recommend to other fellow travellers.

We arrived at the hotel at 3am after a very long flight. Our driver met us at the airport and we were impressed that he was there as hadn't had any confirmation regarding this. However, despite the time of arrival one of the managers insisted on trying to sell us a tour despite us saying we would rather wait until the morning to discuss this. We had reserved a double business room but were allocated a twin room which was shabby and the extractor fan was extremely noisy. The next evening we asked the staff if they could recommend somewhere to eat and they suggested their own rooftop restaurant. Unfortunately what was served was the cold remains of the lunch time buffet. The food was sitting outside and the burners underneath had long gone out and the food was barely edible. We booked a tour with the hotel to take us to Agra and Jaipur. We encountered a number of problems with this. The lack of communication between the staff at the hotel meant that no one knew about our tour the morning we were supposed to leave. We were eventually ushered into a car and driven away with a driver who had not been told our itinerary and who could not speak English. On Day 3 of the journey our driver anticipated taking us back to Delhi, however we had another night left in Jaipur. This caused much frustration and anxiety and was eventually resolved by our very helpful tour guide contacting Ajanta for us. When we returned to the hotel we were greeted with a frosty reception who criticised us for not taking vouchers with us on our journey. However, we were not told once that we would need vouchers, which turned out to be to give to our hotels as proof we were on a tour. This explained why we encountered such confusion but this could have easily been avoided if the staff at Ajanta communicated with each other and ourselves more effectively, and politely. Overall we were disappointed with the hotel as we found the staff unhelpful and rude. We also had a visit from one of the members of staff at 10pm one evening to check up on us which we thought very odd. I would not stay in this hotel again.

We stayed with Hotel Ajanta for only one night, but just to let you know that I really appreciated the greeting! We were welcomed in as soon as we left the taxi, which made me feel very safe straight away, as I felt a little uncomfortable in Delhi after Leh!! I really appreciated the fact that we were taken into a room with air conditioning by a lady who spoke really good English and dealt with our booking very efficiently!! The fact that she ushered us in very quickly after the "unfriendly" and rather "hectic" taxi drive was very much appreciated! However, for how comfortable they made us feel, I would recommend them to my friends as after the stress of the taxi ride they made me feel very relaxed! The room was very comfortable and having the luxury of hot water and a very comfortable bed was a real luxury after the trip that we had!! Many thanks to them again !! Regards, Em and Matt

My recent stay at the Ajanta Hotel was wonderful!!! It was a great pleasure staying at Hotel Ajanta where everything - staff, facilities and personal attention to guests was excellent to say the least. I arrived at the airport and was quickly escorted to the Ajanta Hotel by an excellent driver. My room was clean and the AC kept me comfortable all through the hot summer night. I hope with the blessing of the Almighty and their hardwork, Hotel Ajanta will progress beyond seven stars and will become the moon - a leading beacon of light for all travellers to their beautiful country (India).

Clean and good value rooms are available at the Hotel Ajanta, New Delhi - double rooms particularly good value. It is well located, not far from New Delhi Railway Station. Cold Drinks and a warm welcome greeted us on arrival. best of all was the friendly and helpful manner of all the staff. We would certainly stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.
