We have stayed at the Seaview Cottages a lot, this is our second post on this site. It's good and clean, pool is clean and the food and drink cheap, the Nepalese chef cooks excellent food. The room boys keep your room clean, should you find that they are not, ask to see the owners. They will make sure that you get your room boy working as he should, yes if you are on a package you do pay extra for a fridge, check with your tour operator as to what you get. I spoke to other tourists who had arrived there from another hotel (sadly I dont know the name) who had moved to Seaveiw as where their tour operator had sent them was filthy. Give it a whirl. As I say, we have stayed here lots of times and always been happy.

I found Seaview Cottages very basic as I expected for the price. The furniture, what there was of it, had seen better days! But I found it very clean, sheets changed every other day clean towels every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool very good, I didn't find their restaurant very good, the table cloths were grubby and the food wasn't good so I preferred to eat at one of the many restaurants near by. I would recommend Seaveiw Cottages to anyone wanting a cheap basic holiday close to the shops and beach.

This was my fourth Goa holiday in two years, but even knowing and being used to the standard in Goa, the Seaview Cottages were a big disappointment. Firstly they took £36 from us to hire a fridge for the room. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in, in Goa and had an inadequate fan, so it was like a sauna, hotter than outside! They also keep a cockerel in the grounds - do you really want an EARLY morning call every day of your holiday? The staff didn't smile much and appeared 'grumpy' (I haven't seen this anywhere in Goa!) They would also turn up in the same grotty shirt they served you in yesterday. While I was watching the news on the TV in the morning the staff would often gather round the TV and switch it over to watch the Indian news. The complex took no anti-mosquito measures in the bar, and having been eaten alive there over a couple of beers I never went back. On the plus side the location is great - a minute to the beach, a minute to Tito's road but no noise from Titos road - Seaview Cottages is just far enough away.

Pity Seaview cottages did not come up to location. First room allocated poor, but complained and got a slightly better room. Bar/restaurant very grubby with tablecloths changed infrequently. Did not feel able to have a cooked meal here. Agree with the previous review regarding spitting by staff. Staff tried in difficult circumstances, but there appeared to be no management leadership. All in all no better than a avarage guesthouse. Not first trip to Goa so have fair idea of standard of hotels.

I have travelled all over the world including very basic accomodations but I thought the Seaside Cottages had the most depressing room I have ever stayed in. The staff were very nice, the location was fantastic but never again. This year I am going south as the quality of hotels is far superior than Goa's northern beaches.

Brilliant location, right on Baga beach, friendly staff, but the rooms allocated to UK package customers are desperate, gloomy and dank. All the best rooms are reserved for independent travellers who will pay more money than the 800 rupees (approx £9.40) that they get from the tour operators. It took five days to get a bottle opener for our fridge, permanent lack of loo roll, sheets changed only every three days etc, etc. The whole complex seemed to be full of people suffering from chronic nasal blockages, and it was a dawn chorus of revolting gobbing and spitting all over the pool area. Our fourth time in Goa, we knew what to expect, but don't stay here - there are many better at a similar price.

Yes the rooms are very basic, but the Seaview cottages have everything that you need, the location is great as is near everything, but yet you have no noise. I went for 2 weeks and ended staying for 6. Maria.

We stayed at Seaview Cottages at Baga beach and the accommodation is very basic but very conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. There is no noise from Titos at any point in a day or night. The rooms are kept very clean. I recommend that if you do stay there that you will get a room with air con and a fridge - you will not regret paying extra for these. Tour Operator: My travel

We arrived here by chance 4 years ago, and keep going back. Its good value and very clean; pool is nice, the management and staff helpfull. The area in general (Baga) has most needs, beach shacks , shops, bars, diving school, day trips, scooter hire, or just plain old lay on a sunbed on the beach and relax. Yes there may be other fancier places ,but Seaview does it for us everytime, and will be back this February. Tour Operator: none

If you want to have a get away, somewhere you can really relax enjoy the food, wine the sun and the sea, then this place. Not isolated or remote so your are not marooned away from civilisation, the food is great, the pool is brilliant. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The prices are incredibly low. I tried it and am loving it.
