Hotel was run down, scruffy and shabby, swimming pool looked OK but didn't try it! Dining area next to pool, where two young men sat lolling back on chairs, where we had to collect our breakfast token, had tables covered in dirty tablecloths which were crawling in little black bugs. Couldn't find one clean table, no food or drink taken there by us. We had booked for 21 nights - we stayed 10 using room for sleeping in, got nowhere when we contacted the number on paperwork for help to relocate. The only good thing about this hotel was its position in the centre of Candolim surrounded by great restaurants and near beach. We moved on to Goan Heritage and Kingstork for remainder of holiday, which was heaven, so glad we moved even though it cost us, because when I think of Goa I think of our stay at these two hotels. Not the very unpleasant Dona Alcina, shame on any tour operator who includes this hotel in their brochure, ours was Manos.
