We stayed at the Holiday Inn and the facilities are great but the staff are well below par. The rooms were not ready when they should have been. We were first accused that we not informed them that we were non-Indian residents. Then they accused us of not informing them that we had a daughter. Both of these were clearly written on the booking form. The main gripe is that they failed to collect us from the station. They then said, come in taxi and that they will pay the fare (300Rs, less than £4). On arrival they flatly refused to do so and the manager even refused to write a note to say this. Finally the hotel beach was covered in oil. In my opinion you can find a better hotel with better staff, beach, etc.
