Burlington Hotel, Dublin
As if a visit to Dublin could get any worse... the Burlington Hotel - Madame Defarge. Date of travel: Jan 2009

Ringing the front desk at the Burlington Hotel is impossible, as no one answers at the front desk. I got someone after 50 or 60 rings once. There is no water even for purchase in the rooms - as in say a minibar, and remember, Dublin has the dubious distinction of being one of the only European cities with undrinkable tap water. It's not well located to the center; south of everything, you have to walk far (which is fine with me, but be warned). Breakfast and friendly service not included.
