It's a pity the hotel is located at a very busy roundabout, as that made us close the window at night, because otherwise I could not sleep. My husband however did sleep well inspite of the terrible noise. The staff at the reception was not overwhelmingly friendly, but we couldn't care less. The staff and waiters in the restaurant were very friendly instead. Though some earlier reviews told us about bad breakfasts, we don't agree with that. It was quite good and there was enough variety for a breakfast. The cappucino/coffee though was awful. But nevertheless we enjoyed our breakfast. We once had dinner at the hotel and that was not very good, nor bad.

Despite its claims to the contrary, the hotel is not that close to any of the major sites. Transportation by taxi was fastest but expensive and the local trolleys and buses did not service that many sites (i.e. transfers were required). Chambermaids and wait staff were pleasant and cordial; the same can not be said of the desk staff and bellmen (rude and dismissive). Hotel needs to be renovated or, at least, updated. Would not recommend.

This hotel was fab! We went on a girls city break having never been to Rome before. The hotel was such good value for money, we were not expecting anything like the standard we got. Lovely decorated, large with tv lounge, bar, shop, good continental breakfast. VERY friendly and helpful staff (who were very understanding about our loud girly giggles/squeals which our neighbours complained about) and recommended a FABULOUS restaurant called La Carbonara in Campo di Fiori (young/studenty bar area) where the waiters were a great laugh and ended up giving us a bottle of bubbly for free. It is only 5/10 mins walk from Metro line 1 (one euro), 15 mins walk to the Collesseum and Termi station, next door to a great pizza place and internet cafe. The restaurant around the corner is also recommended. You will not get anything else this standard for this price - of course it could be a little closer but its only 8 euros by taxi to the centre.
