My husband and I attended a wedding in Negril Jam aica. We had a great time. We are very glad we stayed at Point Village. This is not a five star resort but it is definitly clean and cordial. The staff are quiet but friendly. It rained really bad one day and we had no use of water for 2 hours. I don't know if that is common but it was ok because the rain was beautiful, so we took the good with the bad. Our friends stayed at a five star resort and when we visited, we were very pleased that we picked Point Village as a first visit. It was intimate and private. We got to experience the town by a resident who lived at the resort. The location of the resort was convient. The only negative incident we encountered was my husband left his cain that was hand carved. When we got back to the states, we called and made arrangements for shipping, but we never received it :( None the less, we look forward to going back. Thanks for a great first trip to Jamaica. We will return to Point Village!

This trip was our first long-haul and our honeymoon. We only spent a week here at the Point Village Hotel Negril but it was over way too soon. It is only a 3 star resort but everything you need is here. The food was excellent very wide choice in the buffet restaurant and two other evening only restaurants on the beachfront. One Jamaican and one Italian. Lovely staff always helpful and friendly. The Point Village rooms were basic but clean and well looked after. The hotel is at the end of seven mile beach but you could spend all your time at the hotel. Sandy beaches small but perfectly formed. Rock pools and great snorkelling. We are going back to Negril at the end of October 2005 and taking our daughter this time, can't wait. Tour Operator: Airtours
