I loved the Serena Games lodge and camps. We spend 3 nights in Mara Serena, 1 night in Sarova Lion Hill, 2 nights in Island camp and 2 nights at Larsens camp. There is no much to see around Lake Baringo but we wanted to visit a nearby school and the local people living in the region so 1 night is enough.

I stayed at the Serena Game Lodge, Masai Mara, and found it to be an excellent base for game drives. The food and accommodation were excellent and the staff went out of their way to be helpful, even the bathroom was cleaned twice daily. Apart from the occasional baboon sneaking in to the hotel compound and being very quickly chased away by the staff it was a safe environment, something people tend to forget is that these animals are wild and dangerous (look at the teeth) especially in the height of summer when food is short. We also had a hippo come to within six feet of the balcony to eat the flower beds during the night, so food was desperately short. Tour Operator: SOMAK/CITRUS TRAVEL
