When we stayed at La Palapa Hotel, we were not looking for anything too fancy - and we pretty much got what we were looking for. Just some advice for those who are looking for something better than basic: be prepared for an extremely slow elevator and the occasional slip in customer service. The staff were helpful, but my reservation was lost, and the cleaning could have been better, but like I said, it was adequate for the good price paid! The pool is excellent and always clean, and the hotel is close to stores and some nightclubs. The rooms all have kitchenettes with basic facilities, so if you're looking for self-catering, this could be the choice for you. Very basic, but sufficient.
