Excursion Acapulco City Tour - Nyuen Lee. Date of travel: Jan 2009
Acapulco is a hectic city! But I will come back in a couple of years, gonna try Mazatlan next time. My family & I stayed at the Mayan Palace last week and had the best time both at the resort and with tourbyvan We found them in Google & emailed them to have them meet us at the airport and take us to the hotel and then later to dinner. Upon arrival at ACA they were waiting as promised and had a wonderful attitude. Upon arrival at the hotel we made plans to meet up later and we checked in. The resort was everything that you have read about so far. It was absolutely immaculate and enormous. On the walk from the lobby area to the room we passed by the most beautiful pool area and couldn't wait to get back down to enjoy it. We met the guide of tourbyvan for dinner later and they took us to the most spectacular authentic Mexican food place that we all enjoyed. We set up a city tour with him the next day and when he showed up he had a booster seat for our son so he too could enjoy the tour.
Not having been to the Mayan Palace we didn't know what to really expect. The construction on the new building which others have mentioned did not put a damper on any of our vacation as it was still a very peaceful time at the pool with the noise of the ocean and waterfalls drowning out the other noise. The water park was spectacular and a great place for kids to go. The "Lazy River" is great for adults, but the price of admission is a bit steep if you are just going to watch your children. Another downside if you have children is there is not a playground for them to play on should they not want the pool or beach.
After our beautiful week in ACA and having the guys take us to dinner and make reservations our son has asked about him repeatedly since we have been home. They take such pride in what they do and want to make sure you enjoy your stay. The whole vacation was great because of the wonderful combination of the Mayan Palace and tourbyvan. Be sure to contact them before you leave!

| I am sure that when the tourists get to the Mayan Palace the very first thing they should say is wow! It is an amazing property of hundreds of rooms, but the thing that amazed me the most was the swimming pool, the largest I have seen in my long life! The day after we decided to do a tour with a driver that has been recommended to us by a friend before we left Boston. That day was warm, only mid 80s but the humidity is rough on those of us unaccustomed to it.
