I had a good time at this hotel for the money. You get more than what you pay for. My room was very clean and in perfect order, the food was good with somewhat of a variety on the buffet, and the nightly entertainment was fun. I could not ask for more. The bar served alcohol that was not top shelf but did have name brand such as Bacardi, Jose Cuervo, and Smirnoff Vodka. There were several types of beer like Dos XXX and Corona (there was also other options on tap) I do not drink beer but my husband enjoyed the selection. The “nice” restaurant was open every time that I made reservations and the food was good, not great but good. I would return in the future and I had a blast.

I'm a little late in writing this since I stayed in March of 2004 for spring break. But it was so bad that I had to get the word out there regardless of time! Check in/out is a nightmare. The front desk people are rude and just want your money. They only accept cash at that. Since I was a spring breaker, they think I'm there to drink and break things. They refused to give me my room until I paid the 35 US dollars to get an insurance band for my wrist. I refused to pay so I gave them my passport to hold. I finally got to my room (after about 50 mins) to find that a table was broken. I called down to the desk right away and they attempted to charge me $50 (US!) to fix it unless I bought the insurance band. Great way to start off a week vacation isn't it? Food: Nasty. The buffet had dead flies in it and it was very cold. I tried to reserve a spot at the "nice" resturant in the hotel. I called to reserve the night I came in but it was booked for the whole week. There went my chance for some decent food maybe. Bars: Personally, I love all types of alcohol (being a college student then) The only choice they gave us to drink is beer. Bad beer. It was like drinking warm pee (seriously). Taxi's/ Bus: Since this hotel is the second to last place, it takes about 15 to 20 mins to get to the downtown area for clubs or shopping. Also since they changed the name of the hotel, many of the bus/taxi people don't know what you're talking about. So you need to call it by it's previous name (Yalmakan). Please do not give them the satisfaction of your business!
