We've been to Cancun a few times and the The Ritz-Carlton Cancun is by far the best hotel we have gone to. All the staff were fantastic, from the doorman and restaurant staff to the cleaners. We had a standard room with a balcony overlooking the pool and Caribbean Sea. You fall asleep each night hearing the lapping of the waves. The hotel pool is lovely and other facilities also excellent - there's a modern gym with all the kit, and they give you cold towels and water at the end of each work out. There’s also a wonderful spa for massages, steam room, Jacuzzi etc. There are five restaurants in the Ritz-Carlton with different styles and price brackets – all first-class but some very expensive. We spent most days lazing by the pool but the concierge can organise various activities if you’re keen. We couldn’t fault the hotel and would highly recommend it for couples seeking a romantic week in the Caribbean.
