Riu Yucatan is set in idyllic surroundings - rainforest setting, from hotel step out onto talcum powder sandy beach, looking out onto warm, somewhat choppy, turquoise sea.
The grounds of the Yucatan Hotel are immaculately kept, as are the rooms, which are cleaned daily and have their own minibar and soft drinks, that are stocked every other day.
The food is always fresh, mainly cooked in front of you, with a wide variety of choice in several settings, throughout the day and well into the evening.
The main reason for returning to this lovely hotel has got to be the staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble, you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly word. The service is impeccable. The bar staff provide never-ending entertainment with their practical jokes and camaraderie.
