The Riad Tiwaline was the venue for my wedding and accommodation for about 30 guests. 18 months of detailed planning and we were confronted with a Riad owner who delayed providing a written quote (we never got one in the end) until it was too late to change the location, and then proceeded to change his mind about a multitude of details of the deal at every step during the week of the wedding in effort to extract as much money as possible from us. He lied about the accommodation set-up from the start, so we were forced to compromise sleeping arrangements for guests just to accommodate everyone. We and our guests were effective hostages as new costs were charged and inclusions became 'extras'. The service was ordinary, the food provided to our guests was insubstantial, but most importantly the stress placed on us as we fought on a daily basis to overcome the mounting difficulties of dealing with this situation was unacceptable and threatened to unhinge this important event we worked hard to make happen. You could not believe this from a French owner but he gives a bad name to Moroccan tourism and business. My wife is Moroccan and we visit regularly and have never encountered such a negative way of doing business. Kasbah Tiwaline is a headache you don't need.
