I rented a self catering apartment in Miraflores for the holidays and I enjoyed the hospitality of the owner as well as the excellent location of the apartment. I visited almost all of them before I picked one.
I had evrything close to the building and the area is very, very safe.

Searching the web I found an ad for vacation rentals in Miraflores. What a surprise, they were beautiful, comfortable and very clean apartments, close to everything.
Compared to others these were superb. So, I rented the one bedroom for US$300 2 weeks. I left my luggage there and travelled to Cuzco.
The hospitality of the owner was great, so I highly recommend these apartments for the independent traveller that wants to enjoy the city from inside.
