What kind of 5 Star hotel do not have cotton bathrobes and requires me to pay 2 US$ for a pair of slippers? The water activities were limited due to many equipments were out of service. The price for the introduction Dive package cost double of that offered by competitor outside of plantation bay and the dive site a small patch area in front of their private beach, which is 4 times smaller than the main park in a island which only requires 45 min boat ride from near by dive shop.

Plantation Bay on Mactan Island is splendid and nice, but we found the staff, particularly the duty manager, a lady with the name of Ben, to be unprofessional and quite frankly, rude. We stayed in the quatum villa, the most expensive room in Plantation Bay, but felt that we were treated inadequately for a VIP guest. I am a dentist by profession in Manila and had suggested to my nephew that we stay at Plantation Bay because he is planning to have a beach wedding there, we visited the wedding coordinator in April this year. But due to the rudeness of the duty manager we are thinking or changing our wedding venue to Shangrila. I hope that in the future, the staff at Plantation Bay will be more respectful to Filipino guests and not cast them aside in favour of guests from Korea and other countries.
