We Stayed in 2 bed apt in block 3 away from the main complex opposite the supermarket...best of both worlds. Refurbished apartment (Irish owned) air con, new kitchen and bathrooms. They arranged hotel transfers. I have been to Alvor 3/4 times love the area, people and scenery is beautiful not to mention the fresh fish/food. Main block very busy. But tidy, staff also freindly. Will be back.

The Alvorferias Apartments were clean and very spacious and quite close to the centre of the resort of Alvor, around a ten minute walk. A taxi costs around €4. The beach is wonderful and around a 20 minute walk from the apartments. The entertainment in the evening is not very good, but I expect it gets better in mid-season. We will go back!
