Fifth visit to Portugal, second stay in Alvor. Lovely Holiday, undercut the High Street package holiday by hundreds. Flights from the High Street Travel agent Glasgow Faro, accommodation Self Catering at the Club Alvor apartments Quinta Nova complex, using LowCostbeds.com. Used the recommendation from this site and travelled to Praia de Gale and visited TI Manuel fish restaurant would also recommend it to fellow travellers. I agree also Alvor could lose its attraction, also Olhos de Agua, to overdevelopment. Dog fouling needs to be sorted. Saying all this it was an enjoyable holiday but will give Portugal a rest for a while. The world is a big place with many countries to visit, but I'm sure we will return one day.
