Apart from being a multistorey building, the hotel is no different from any roadside motel in Australia-the same service, the same (modest) quality & somewhat aged , but clean, furniture inside. Bed linen was new or nearly new. The price was ~USD55 per day for two people, booked via their website & paid by (Australian) VISA - no problems with that. Superb coffee bar on the first floor - both in terms of service quality (the attenders actually smile) & coffee. Price though, was on the higher side- ~USD3 per cup. Buffet-style lunch at USD15 was not really worth it, but then I ate worse food in Oz and paid more. Reception is OK - efficient, extremely polite - but you need to figure out how to get to them to be served - it won't help just to stay silently waiting to be asked - other people, each holding a stack of documents & reservations, will slide casually in front of you & you will wait forever. The best is to address the receptionist(-s) in English - or whatever but not-Russian language you speak- this helps instantly . Russians (still!) like foreigners.
